After several years of saying, "How does this one go again?", I eventually ended up in Somerset dancing for a border side called Enigma.

 

And this is where I met my wife Sharon, Enigma’s Melodeon player who was already a Wreckers’ guest musician. When we announced our September 2019 wedding, the then Wreckers’ Squire offered the services of the Wreckers’ band for our reception ceilidh where we met many more of the gang.

 

Before I knew it we were invited down for an weekend practice just before the Covid pandemic started. We enjoyed it so much we ended up joining as full members that same day! I’m delighted to be a member of Wreckers because everyone is so welcoming and friendly and when you see them dance, they're obviously the best side south of the Scottish border!
